Still publishing. Still growing. Still guiding.
Like so many other's I grew up with the Old farmer's Almanac. My dad taught us how to use it for gardening. As far as I am concerned, You are the Original Farmer's Almanac. Unfortunately, I have not been able to find it in Northern Virginia. Ace Hardware use to have them available but not recently. I try to purchase one yearly for gardening and Weather. The most accurate weather prediction in the region.
I purchased this year's edition on line and am not use to paying $20.00 for the Old Farmer's Almanac.
Hi Sheila,
I'm in NY state, a mile from the PA border, and I have seen OFA for sale in Lowe's and Home Depot. I hope this helps you.
Hi Shiela, The 2026 Old Farmer's Almanac is $8.22 on Amazon.com, Walmart.com, etc. It should not be $20 unless you are looking at the larger format easy-to-read edition; this is a custom special-order situation. But rest assured, the 2026 edition is still the same price!
So glad you are not going anywhere. enjoy reading all the information especially the Plants, and Flowers just all.
I am so relieved to know you are not going anywhere. I heard yesterday that the 2026 edition would be your last one by the sales associate at checkout when I purchased it. We were both so bummed about it. I really enjoy reading about gardening and all the helpful tips and tricks this publication has throughout the year. I depend on the information concerning the moon cycles as it relates to gardening. Thank you for being.
Thank goodness!
I must tell you that I have been enjoying your publication for at least sixty years. At my present 78 years that seems about right. Never worked on a farm. Never grew more than a small garden. But when I read your almanac so many different worlds are opened to me. You have shared so much beauty with me and so widened all of my horizons. Thank you for being here.
I am compelled to say, in my almost 60 years, I've paid attention to your publication since before I could read. My maternal grandmother, Mabel would read to me from it. The yellow book, has always taught everything I needed for gardening in different areas of No. America. Thank you for all your continued efforts.
Sincerely,
a gardener from the West to the East, also the North to the South.
The Old Farmer’s Almanac was a tradition in our family. The little yellow book still contains relevant info for gardening, recipes, advice, and it’s useful with a pleasant degree of humor. If you like TOFA, you should read the annual Garden Guide available Feb. 1
P.S.
So important, this is. The Weather, I've in the Hurricane area, and in Snow area.
The weather matters in my life very much so! Thank you all.
